Fun Times
A few qualifiers: this was good value for me as I was fortunate enough to find it as-new for about $70 less than retail and for about half of what most re-sellers are offering. Anything less than $150 seems reasonable but I would hesitate to exceed MSRP since it has a simple movement and the true-to-the-era acrylic crystal is likely not that durable. Comfort: the mesh-like woven steel strap is the issue here. For anyone with the arms of a yeti or who likes a loose fit it could be a hair-pulling deal-breaker. Thankfully not a problem for me and the polished, tapered, easily adjusted strap is integral to the overall look. I even think it helps spread the watch's modest weight more evenly, preventing inadvertent movement and (ironically) mitigating potential hair-pulling when worn (slightly) snug. The bright, cheerful dial; the bi-directional, friction-based, 12-hour, pepsi-colored bezel (useful for tracking a second time zone); the polished, hooded lugs; the DIY battery hatch and that controversial metal strap combine for a stylish, retro and fun timepiece which is just practical enough to complete my collection.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
