Once the starting procedure was arrived at, the machine is an altogether pleasure to use. It's light weight which makes it easy for even an old man to push around and it is ONE HECK OF GOOD CUTTING MACHINE! It trims and mows grass and attacks BIG weeds with equal ease and positive results. The pivoting head makes it extremely easy to trim along walls and fences. Great machine, your shoes do not turn green nor the bottom of your pant legs because all cut grass goes away from the user. You might wear your Sunday suit to use it and not get dirty. Great for the price.
I had Grass Hog that cost more and was pretty much the same as this one. The only difference is that the Grass Hog has a shroud over the arm that goes to the head unit. Turns out it is not just for looks. The shroud keeps weed from wrapping around the head. I had tp keep stopping and cutting the weeds off the shaft because they would wrap so tight the head would stop turning. It would be okay in most cases but this was on a vacant lot with 6' tall weeds. If it was milk weed or something it would be okay but these where long thin weeds. I think if I had to do it over again I would spend a little more and get one with the shroud.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
