Great Picks - but wear out quickly
I usually use Dunlop Tortex .73mm, A friend recommended these TUSQ picks. They are great, but wear out so quickly - maybe an hour's hard playing, and are expensive. Come on, it is just a piece of plastic. And no, it does not feel like ivory any more than Tortex feels like tortoise shell (all marketing hype), just good quality plastic. So, I compared to Dunlop Ultex - very similar extra stiff material with better resonance like the TUSQ, but the Ultex wears much better. So, no more TUSQ, I just have to decide on Dunlop Utlex standard or Ultex Sharp, which I am ordering for a comparison.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

I prefer these picks for the bright tone you can get. Depending on the angle you hold them and pluck the string, you can soften it up all you like, but if it starts muffled, it can't get any brighter sounding. Love these!
