Hard working stripper.
These strippers are very good looking and I'm happy with their performance. They grab my wire firmly, and strip just like I want them to. These strippers are quite sturdy in build, but still feel very good in my hands, like good strippers should. Some say 8 inches is too big, some say 8 inches is too small. Great tool for nearly all types of wire
This wire stripper is a good quality tool. I tried it on several types of wire. It is very easy to use and fast. It did a good job on #22 - #14 multi-strand wires and had no problems stripping #14 and #16 solid wires. It feels good in the hands and takes very little effort to squeeze the handles and strip the wire. I did not notice any excess stripping of multi-strand wires and no nicking of the solid wires. Also, the cutter did a pretty easy job of cutting all the wires. Not as good as an actual wire cutting tool, but totally adequate for the occasional snips you might do. The only issue I had was when I tried to strip a #14 multi-strand wire that had a very hard plastic insulation. The stripper could not hold onto the hard smooth insulation tight enough to pull the insulation apart. But, if I held very tightly on the upstream side of the wire (helped it out a little) then it would go ahead and pull it apart and finish the strip just fine. To be fair, I've had other strippers struggle with this type wire, too. So, overall, this wire stripper does a good job and is a well made tool that is easy to operate. Really good wire stripper! Had some doubts, but does a nice job stripping a variety of types of wire/insulation. No more nicked wire from using OG type wire strippers or pliers! A tad pricey, but seems well made and should last quite a while! I tend to buy quality tools, intending to keep them "forever"! Very Good Wire Stripping Tool
Very happy with this tool. With very little practice, I was able to strip solid core wire very easily and precisely. This tool did not work as well with very small gauge braided wire (24 gauge). Very Disappointed
The side that grabs the outside covering doesn't grab anything from 14 gauge to 24 gauge even when adjusting the little knob. I am Very Disappointed with these. The second picture is to loose and want grab the outside covering. I work with a lot of small gauge wire and these would have been a help to me.
