This nut cracker does a great job on pecans {small and large}. Work good on walnuts but any thing harder than that I don't know whether it would hold up or not. But for the price you can't beat it.

It makes quick work of everything but Black Walnut. It cannot crack a Black Walnut and when I forced the issue I bent the handle on this nutcracker and STILL the nut did not crack!! So I'm not a happy camper but the tool is good for what it is.
