excellent saw dust capture
Solid steel, screws firmly onto plainer, excellent fit, genuine Dewalt product with 98% dust capture using shopvac adaptor. I suspect if adaptor (plastic) was conical in shape it would be 100% but only a little is thrown back toward infeed table. Cannot fold up outfeed table with dust hood attached, a very minor problem. I was unable to find the dust collector attachment anywhere else at a decent price. Original product, new in the box. Fits well and does a decent job of keeping my shop cleaner by collecting most of the wood chips from the rear of the planer. Well made & effective
Every time I used to run my planer I spent lots of time cleaning up the chips which had been broadcast over half the shop.
