Good Dies for the .45 Long Colt
I purchased these dies to reload 45 colt for my Taurus Judge. I use them in both my Dillion progressive and Lee single stage reloaders. The dies work perfectly with un-lubed cases. The rounds seated easily into my revolver. I did purchase a secondary Lee role crimp as I felt this was necessary. This was more a personal preference and not a necessity for reloading. I would highly recommend this set.

Not bad.
The base resize is a good idea for some who do not have a small base sizing die and simple to adjust, just raise the ram and screw down the die and lock in in position. The crimp needed many more turns past just touching the neck (note cases are NOT all the same length) but no biggie. I would have given it 5 stars but getting a balance between the case mouth flare / bell was a bit of a pain. Just a bit too much bell at the powder dump and the case will not enter the crimp die after seating. Yeah, they're trying to correct any bulges at the base of the case, but if you have a small base sizing die, like me I think you'd prefer a wider mouth on the crimp die.

I highly recommend the Lee Factory Crimp die. Simple to use and excellent crimps.
I have been using these for many years and have one for every caliber I own, at least 12 and have never had a problem. They make an excellent crimp and will not buckle the brass, even with different lengths.
