I researched the heck out of resonators before ordering this. I was finding it extremely difficult to believe the claims that these direct-from-Aiersi resonators were the same ones that were being distributed over here under other brand names for up to 3 or 4 times the price. In other words, "if it seems too good to be true, then something must be fishy." But I ordered one anyway. HOLY MOLY! It is a GREAT instrument, and YES, it is EXACTLY the same as several of the brands distributed here. Actually fancier than the lower end ones distributed for twice the price, because this one has the fancy fingerboard binding. Some details: First and foremost, the instrument sounds wonderful. WOW, what depth, richness, and sustain! In my humble opinion, the tone and all other "playability" aspects are right up there with ones from National (which, it is important to note, are NOT made by Aiersi), though the tonality is slightly different (it is a matter of taste as to which one you might prefer.) The finish is first class: the fingerboard and fret job is beautiful, and the fret ends are finished equivalently to a high-end instrument: absolutely no sharp finger-snaggy edges. Really solid nice-looking tuners... When I was looking on line, it was impossible to really judge how good the tuners would be, and I though I might need to replace them. But no way: they are great, and very good looking. Set-up was fine... I just tuned it up, and it was ready to play. The packing was phenomenally good. It comes in a really nice "semi-hard" case that, itself, would cost you at least $100 over here. The interior hard foam is obviously custom contoured to the instrument, like a glove. In addition, there was a ton of extra bubble wrap and closed-cell foam packing within the case, and then between the case and the big cardboard box it came in. Professional job, well thought out. Absolutely no worries in that respect. And the totally surprising thing is that it got to me here in Montana 10 days after I ordered it, even though Aiersi indicated that it might take up to 3 weeks. Wow. Pretty good for free shipping. Bottom line: GO FOR IT!Read full review
