    Don’t buy these, they are worthless

    I bought two of these WSM exciter coils and both were defective. The resistance values are in the correct range at 144k ohms, but when the screws that mount it to the stator plate are tightened the resistance drops to about 4 ohms and that is no good. Turns out most people that buy these have the same result. They are chinese garbage that aren’t even close to being functional.

    Cause the motor to run backwards. Apparently coils wound the wrong direction
