    Melted

    I had some section loss on the flange that may have contributed, but this gasket didn't make a full tank of gas before beginning to chunk off and melt. It isn't made like the previous gasket. This one has concentric circles of thin steel inside which in my situation separated under the pressure of the exhaust springs.
