Solid Product, Great Packaging, BUT Doesn't 100% fit Honda CBR 954 RR 2003 - Check your bike model! (see pictures)
I struggled how to rate this, because the product is GREAT but it doesn't fit the motorcycle models listed in the description. So 5/5 for the product itself, but I'll take it down to 4/5 because it doesn't fit the models that are listed, which could render it useless if you require all the pieces it comes with if you can't reuse (or don't have) the filter. I would knock it to 3/5 stars but overall the product is great, feels high-quality, and I was still able to use it in conjunction with my old parts to make my bike work again. As the title says, this is a GREAT product BUT the filter **doesn't fit** my Honda CBR 954 RR 2003. The product itself came very nicely package, lots of padding, and looks absolutely brand new. It comes with everything you need to replace the fuel pump as well as lots of extra pieces which was great. Everything fit with my old fuel pump one-for-one EXCEPT the yellow filter in the pictures. The filter that comes with this kit is much larger, and the attach point is offset compared to the original (see pictures). Both filters have a hard, plastic membrane inside which makes getting them into the space very difficult. Due to this hard membrane, any filter size larger that the original will NOT fit. I tried bending the new filter, but again the way it attaches to the pump makes it far too long and overall just way too big. Luckily, everything else is exactly the same as my old pump, so I was able to attach my old filter to this new fuel pump and putting it back together was no problem. The fuel pump, hoses, and electrical all match, so the spare parts should all work if you need them. My old fuel filer was still good, but if yours is torn or you don't have it, you'll have to get another kit or buy the filter separate. Aside from that, I installed the pump, put it all back together, and my bike has come back to life! Again, great product, great price, just watch out for compatibility with your specific bike model!
