I have carried folding and fixed blade knives all of my life and keeping them sharp for over 50 years now. I began using the Victorinox Pocket Knife Sharpener about 5 or 6 years ago and I am sold on this sharpener. It puts a PERFECT Angle cutting edge on the blade and the ceramic stick finishes the job to a surgery capable shaving sharpness. It is also a great value at under $15. I keep ALL my knives sharp with this sharpener. I am not sure how difficult it would be to sharpen a neglected blade that has been left without an edge, but for a sharp knife that you use heavily and you need to put that shaving edge on it again, this tool excels at keeping the edge. Simply the best portable you can get. With this there is no reason to ever have a dull knife with you. This fits right in my “Go Bag” and no more space than a pen would take up.
