Its rare that 4 years go by and things still seem as good as they were. Think about what 4 years will do to most tech and you know what i mean. A four year old iPhone is not a great experience. A four year old device just wont stand up to today's releases. Under normal circumstances. The Chromebook Pixel is a rare device in that, it is four years old and still feels fresh and quick. its screen is still as good if not better than most laptops you can buy today. Its build quality is right up there with the greats from dell and apple. The body is made of aluminum and can get a little hot but, doesn't scratch or dent easily. the only downside to the computer would have to be the battery life. You can look to get a solid four and a half hours out of it before needing to recharge. That's not top of the line but, by no means is it terrible. I have a $2200.00 dollar laptop and i find myself looking forward to using this for media consumption and general internet use. The ease of use with the Chromebook ecosystem coupled with the great build quality make this device a dream to use. I would recommend this laptop if you want a macbook pro feel but, ease of use and security you get from chrome OS. no viruses rarely any bugs just turn it on and it works every time, even four years later. this is a tech gem. Its not flawless but for a four year old machine with great specs and expandable memory you cant go wrong.Read full review

I have two tablets and two laptops by Apple, mostly older models that I'm happy with, and used to use a desktop running Microsoft, until they stopped supporting ME. Hearing about others' troubles with Windows 8 and 10, I was reluctant to use Microsoft. A friend had a chromebook, so I looked into that, but was unsatisfied by the screen resolution on the models I looked at. I mostly need a computer for photography, so when I was this Google branded Chromebook with Gorilla glass touchscreen an resolution of 2560x1700, I went for it. It's a 2013 model, but after setting it up, Google Updated all the software to the most recent. My photos look great on this screen. Websites look good too. Glad I bought it. Delivery from Unix+ was fast.

Amazing value for the price. Product was new-in-box, and (I can't promise that every one will) I was able to redeem the offer of 1tb of free online storage for 3 years (which is WAY more expensive than 300$). The chromebook pixel is an absolute dream to use, build quality, screen quality and over all feel are wonderful. No regrets in buying this, highly recommended!

Beautiful screen, sleek lines, fast, convenient touch screen. It's the first edition, got lucky to find still new. Lousy battery life, but that's okay as I use it only at home. What a great machine. It's my 10th different Chromebook, but my favorite right now.

This is the 2015 version and still works well. A strange little feature of this version is a LED light bar on the cover that lights up four segments in the Google colors when being used and gives you a visual indication of the battery level when the Chromebook is off. The lightbar shows Green for a full charge, Yellow from 90% to 20% with the number of lit lightbar segments decreasing as the battery discharges. When the battery level is below approximately 20% all four segments light up Red.
