No ice chopper no blades. Only 1
It looked like the correct ice bin. However, upon inspection, there was a single stainless steel arm or ice chopper (NOT 6, as pictured) inside, whereas the original had 6. There was absolutely nothing for a single blade to chop against. Leaving it totally obsolete. After some ingenuity of my own, I was able to remove the chopping blades from my old one, and install them into the one I purchased. ( This one). Great if you don't want crushed ice
It works great...if you don't want crushed ice! The unit it replaced had 2 or 3 blades in it for crushing ice....this unit only has one. If you want a glass full of crushed ice, it will take 2 or 3 minutes for this one to produce that much crushed ice. The old unit would do it in 20-30 seconds (before it broke). If you don't care about the crushed ice, it dispenses the full size "cubes" very efficiently. I am not sure why the blades are different...it is the exact same model that I replaced.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
