I bought this cable for aprs use on a series of Chinese radios. This of course did the trick. It seems that the interface cable itself is actually the APRS-K1, as it is labeled as such on the isolation transformer molding l. What makes the assembly an APRS-K2 is the additional 3.5mm trrs patch cable, male to female. The K2 cable adapts the K1 to other pinout on the media device side. Overall I am extremely satisfied with the purchase. It is an out of the box solution to APRS connections to your device. If you couple it with APRSDROID, you can have a functioning system in minutes. I Don't know if it is a good value or not, since it is the only show on the road. However, it is priced about like similar cables for other purposes... apparently the market will bear a $20-$25 range. It does appear to be well made and works like it is supposed to.
