Quality but flawed knife
I love high quality flipper knives with interesting locks and this certainly fits the bill. Once I added lube to the pivot and the action broke in a bit, this thing became a fun knife to play with. The well judged detent makes the flipping action failure-free and also prevents the knife from accidentally opening from the closed position when you don’t want it. The button or plunge lock is also well designed and securely locks the blade in the open position, even without sliding the lever into place that disables the unlocking feature. All very well engineered and crafted. The flaws mentioned above are really only about ergonomics—this knife has lots of painful hot spots!! The factory pocket clip was so painful to hold that I removed it right away, but the sharpish points on the aluminum handle remain, both on the sides where your fingers rest and also at the end of the handle. With a little melting of the pointy shapes and a redesign of the pocket clip this would be a real winner. The blade is able to hold the factory hair-shaving edge for an extremely long time and I think the manufacturing quality is second to none. This could be a five star knife with very little redesign effort. But as it is now, I would recommend choosing other models from this company. They may not have been making knives very long but their manufacturing standards are very high. Nice to see USA quality like this. All in all, I still wouldn’t hesitate to recommended Hogue products, just not this specific model.Read full review

OUTSTANDING FOLDER!
This is one extremely fine folding knife. The quality is superb, the size is ideal: not too big, not too small, and it's light in weight, making it extremely comfortable to carry. The flipper is fantastic. A perfect size for easy opening. The blade locks up tight as a bank vault and has a secondary locking system for added security. It is razor sharp, and the design is beyond cool. Hogue has definitely knocked it out of the park with this model.
