I bought this pen for myself and my two sisters, all three of us are in college. We all have an HP Spectre x360 and we use our pens with Microsoft OneNote. The fact that I can take notes on my laptop with the paired functionality of OneNote really makes my life more efficient and my book bag lighter. The pen itself is nicely weighted and the button on the pen allows you to easily click between the eraser, pen, and lasso-select function. I would definitely suggest this pen over the ironically more expensive pens, such as the HP pen.

I understand that this version, the silver/black AAGN version, is the best to date. I, like many others, have found that it frequently loses sync (just stops working). Very frustrating to be in the middle of a Sketchbook drawing and have the thing die, come back, die again, come back, etc. It's amazing to me that Dell was unable, after multiple revs, to get this right. Now that Dell has discontinued the tablets this stylus was made for, I'm doubtful we'll ever see an updated version. If you happened to get a reliable copy, hold on to it! Mine, like many others, has been a frustrating mess.

I bought this product on a recommendation from a salesperson at Best Buy, who indicated that this was compatible with my newly purchased HP Spectre x360. For me, having stylus functionality was essential for artistic endeavors I will be doing with my computer. I popped in the included AAAA battery and moved the stylus close to my computer screen. It instantly recognized it and it started working immediately. It shows great pressure sensitivity from the lightest of strokes to the heaviest, giving me a lot of range. In fact, when I recently viewed a YouTube video comparing this with the HP stylus, this one seems a better choice, as it does not require clicking down on the screen to begin drawing. Even the lightest strokes immediately register, making it seem like a natural extension to my hand, rather than a technological interface. One small issue I had - I when I put it away, one of the rocker switches must have gotten depressed. This quickly drained the battery--and AAAA batteries are hard to find.Read full review

Some years have passed since the launch of the Venue Pro branding. I saw a lot of mixed reviews about its own active stylus so I decided to skip on the first two generations and ended up buying the last one (rev A00 as marked on the box). I had an excellent service with pricing, shipping and packaging with my dealer. My stylus is working as it is intended to be and that makes me happy. Just keep in mind some minor details: You do not need to pair the stylus with any software, it just works since the very first moment when you put the AAAA battery in it; and speaking of it, I experienced bad connection issues at first, but replacing the battery included in the box with a new one solved everything. The palm rejection feature works good if you make sure to see the cursor on the screen before you start writing/drawing. Its speed is good for me but I can not ask for more as I use the cheaper model with an Atom processor and only 2 Gb of RAM so I can only suppose that a more capable hardware can improve the experience. Lastly, I can not give an artist (painting/drawing) viewpoint about it since my main use of the stylus is for sheet music hand writing.Read full review

After extensive research for a stylus for my laptop (HP Spectre x360), I see now why this is an overwhelming favorite. It feels sturdy and ergonomically sound in hand (versus the stylus for my former Surface Pro 3), has a very precise tip (great for digital highlighting) and looks nice. My tip would be to have a pack of spare AAAA batteries on hand (Energizer has been the brand to last the longest, in my experience) because there does not appear to be an indicator light or other way to tell the batteries are running low. I appreciated that no extra setup was required for my HP to recognize the stylus - once I put the (included - thank you, Dell!) battery in, it worked right away. The instructions are scant, but do the job.
