Essential upgrade for lower end Magura 4 piston calipers
Unfortunately, the lower range Magura four piston calipers MT Sports, MT5 ship with a single pad for each side (one pad covers two pistons). The higher range MT7, MT Trails ship with a pad for each piston. Both pad setups can stop you like you hit a wall, but the 4 pad setup has much better modulation and control. Essential if you’re rolling the steeps. I’d strongly recommend the upgrade if you want to make the most of the lower end brakes. Quick and easy install. These are the performance compound which works great for me on all my bikes. A little less aggressive bite (and might fade a bit more) than the metallic race compound (which can also be loud), but more than adequate for most riding. I’ve got over 1000 miles on one set and they are no where near the wear limit.

Maybe not the best
After braking in the pads the stopping power seems pretty decent. On steep descent’s there is a bit of brake noise. Pads wear out fast.
