The shock itself is great and of good quality. The problem I had was with the mounting stem; the threads of the nuts (2) and both ends of the stem itself had excessive electro-plating on them and would not thread together without galling. I had to use taps and dies to rethread them before I could assemble the stabilizer. That, in and of itself, took some of the shine off an otherwise very good steering stabilizer. Until corrected, you will need a 7/16"-20 TPI tap and die and also a 1/2"-20 TPI tap and die to rethread (chase) the parts. Pity the poor person that does not have the necessary tooling to accomplish this. I hope his review is helpful to anyone considering this part. Semper Fidelis.

Overall great part but bolts didn’t fit my 2004 Wrangler X. I had to use old bolts from my old stabilizer and I had to run down to the local hardware store to buy another bolt shim or spacer to mount the shock.
