  • Educational for youngsters

This series of books by P. MacLachlan, this is the first one, gives children a good introduction to life before cars, radio, electric lights, air conditioning, heat that didn't require cutting and hauling wood, telephones, television, and video games. It's also just a good wholesome story. A time when everybody including children had chores that were sometimes very difficult.
