I tried to listen and learn but it was way to confusing. I'm usually very good at picking up languages but this one I couldn't even get past the first lesson. What made it even more confusing was that another voice was randomly thrown into the mix. Also the voices did not have Irish accents which made it even more confusing. I Could not understand which was very disappointing. I learned 2 words the entire time. I learned how to Ireland and American and that was all.

My son is in his first year of beginner's Gaelic. It is a difficult language to learn and the best way is audiological. As a supplement, I picked up the Pimsleur Quick & Simple Irish CD's. Wow- it really makes a difference. Before using the CD's, he would say a couple phrases or individual words but it wasn't really conversational Gaelic. Using the Pimsleur system has allowed him to really advance in understanding not only what is said to him but in the appropriate responses. Graibh maith agat!
I didn't know what to expect in hearing Gaelic language, but as I listen to the instructors in each lesson, I'm happy when asked to repeat something I've learned! Yes, I am very glad to have found , these tapes.

This is a basic, conversational Irish language program. I already knew most of it, but if you're a beginner it's a good start.

Truly the fastest and easiest way to learn the basics of a language. I have taken the Japanese class, Italian class and now learning Irish. Great basics for traveling. Learn while you drive to work, on your Ipod at the gym...anywhere.
