The Figure Skater and the High School History Teacher
How could anyone not give this book and series a 5 star rating.? I love her books. They are so typical of everyday life in a small town The people of Thunder Point are all one big family and look out for each other . Grace was a hard working lady who owned the Pretty Petal Flower Shop. She purchased it from Iris after her mother died. Iris grew up with a florist and knew the business. She, however, was a counselor in the local high school but was also best friends with Grace. Iris married the head deputy , Seth, and they lived in her home. His parents lived next door. Grace dated Troy Headley, a teacher at the high school. Grace kept her past life a secret and steered people away from discussing it. Troy stumbled upon it on the internet. He found that she was a gold metal Olympic winner in ice skating. He also found out that her mother was an ice skater winner. Troy had friends from Virgin River that came to visit him. Grace agreed to skate for Troy and them. They recognized her as an olympic figure skating winner when they saw her. Troy and Grace were so right for each other. They trusted each other until Troy realized how wealthy her family was. Grace's was not on good terms with her mother until she was told she had ALS. Her mother tricked her into coming to see her in a nearby town. Troy went with Grace to deliver flowers and was amazed how tough her mother could be.
