Not compatible with Later American Sportsters .
While looking for a replacement fender for my 2017 Iron 883, I searched for “2017 Harley Sportster Iron 883 fender”. This was one of the choices. Before ordering, I clicked on the “compatibility” check and put my bikes specifications there. It came with “this will work.” Upon arrival, the holes seemed to match with the original fender (as I had seen in the pictures in the listing). I had it painted and when ready to mount, SURPRISE! None of the mounting holes actually match. Different positions and even hole diameters. As I had trusted the description, search results and eBay compatibility tool, I had it prepped and painted (yes, you can blame me for not checking fitment before painting, but this was not supposed to be a “custom” job; it was supposed to be a “direct replacement”). After some investigation; this is fits a Canadian Sportster. Now I’m stuck with either modifying this and purchasing a whole bunch of Canadians Sportster hardware, or buying a fender that actually fits... either case I have to keep this as it is already painted. If you have an American Iron 883, 1200 or 48 from 2011 on, this will not fit your bike unless you are willing to get a whole lot of different hardware and make some modifications.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
