As for cooling, it works great - better than expected. However, it's a little noisy. The fan and the exhaust air (out the window) combined are somewhat loud, but I couldn't be more pleased with the overall function, look and features of the machine!!! Piece of crap
It cools the room great when it decides to work. It randomly shuts down and wont turn back on. The light comes on saying it needs to be drained every couple hours. But when you drain it only a few drops of water come out. And it still won't turn on. When you contact the seller they send you to the manufacturer. The manufacturer is no help at all. Never buy a window airconditioner again.

It's struggles.
I have this unit in my sunroom, 130sq ft. It struggles trying to keep the room cool , but I understand that if the roof of the sun room was more insulated it may do better. It cooled my bedroom which is 190sq ft. a lot better.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
