Good bang for buck mod.
Its the overdrive gear thats needed. No more searching for 6th speed. 1st gear hardly taller but all gears pull longer and harder . Awesome. Only wish it had oem rubber vibration dampers mounded onto it. But still quiet . 1st mod and 23.00 well spent. It also has wide spines to save shaft splines. Ways keep any spline well greased my dad said. Go for it . And use new lock tab under nut. Fits 2022 too. Thanks Kawi.

Perfect easy mod
I ride a lot of freeway and back road highways with my klr. Instant improvement when running through gears. I’m no longer pinning it to go 80mph. Can cruise right on the power band 5.3-5.5k rpms. I’ll be keeping a 14 tooth with me to swap out at trail heads. Took a whole 10 minutes to change out.
