Multistrada Sargent Saddle
Great saddle in general. I use Sargents on all of my bikes - I find them comfortable and durable. This application, for the Multistrada (low) I wish was a little narrower at the front for easier reach and that it was less square-shouldered in the mid section, but it still gives better reach than stock, has a neutral riding position, and is all-day comfortable. Wonderful seat - I don't know why I waited so long to get one!
A great quality seat and very well made! The seat spreads my weight over a larger area rather than concentrating it on my tailbone region. I don't know why I waited so long to get one!!! After more than three years of putting up with the stock Multistrada seat, I finally bit the bullet and bought a Sargent seat. While the stock seat was comfortable on short rides, I really felt it on longer runs and especially at the end of the day. Following an accident last October where I fractured my tailbone (ouch!), my stock seat became even more uncomfortable. I have had Corbin seats in the past on previous bikes and liked the way that the seat firmness allows my weight to spread over a large area rather than the stock seats which, while they are softer, don't spread any weight. I am 6' 2" and 265lbs and all that weight is concentrated in small areas, creating "hotspots" and resulting soreness on longer rides. The Sargent seat works exactly the same as the Corbin - very firm, but allows even weight distribution over the entire backside area, rather than directly on my tailbone, which is what the stock Multistrada seat did. It also places me in a more comfortable riding position, which is fantastic. It is a quality item and very well made, with excellent material (I have the carbon fibre version) and top stiching throughout. Very easy to install (all I had to do was unscrew the helmet hook) and it fits perfectly. I'm now looking forward to many more years of riding my Multistrada in comfort on my new Sargent seat.
