The phone has great features and a fast processor. Very happy with the phone. The only thing I do not like is the bloatware the Sprint loaded on the operating system. You can uninstall some of it but not all.

Wanted an upgrade to my HTC one M7 so I purchase the HTC One M8. The Harman/Kardon sound quality is solid but I wish they could have incorporated both Beats and Harman and then have the option to switch between the two. Beats is great for a lot of the music I play but Harman is a bit louder which is what I need when using the speaker for handfree while driving. Unfortunately, on the M8 you do not have an option to turn it on or off. With Beats on the M7, I did. The camera features are nice but HTC ended up having the user go an extra step when trying to go back one step because the back key does not come up until you touch the screen. Once it does, then you have to touch it again to go back. The built quality is much more solid than the M7 but HTC still has their logo at the bottom which takes up a nice piece of space which could otherwise be used for more display to make it a true 5" screen. What I do miss is having a kickstand which I originally had with my HTC 4G LTE. Though I bought a case with a kickstand, it would have been nice to have on the phone itself because I hate having to hide the original look of the phone when putting the case on. Another thing I'm happy about with the M8 is that there is the ability to expand the storage with a micro sd slot which the M7 did not have and that drove me nuts because I continuously had to download pictures and video to make space on the phone. At least with the micro sd I could just swap it out with a new one without really losing anything. Only gripe with the HTC M8 micro sd slot is that you have to use either the HTC tool or a paperclip or some other type of object to pop the micro sd holder out of the side of the phone. Which is more trouble than if they had kept it in previous years with either having to use your fingernail to pop open the cover or taking the back plate off of the phone. But at least they have it this time around. Not too sure if I like the new wake up features on the phone. Before you would always have to press the power button to wake the screen but now you can tap the screen while it is in an upward position...meaning, if it's in my back pocket (yes, I put it there) if I sit down & press against the glass...I end up doing the butt thing (whether it be dialing the phone or opening up an app). I'm sure there is a way to disable that function but like I said, not sure (yet) if I like it. Overall, I like the phone. Like I said, for me it was an upgrade to my HTC One M7 which I love(d). As always, there's always something HTC is going to sacrifice in order to make the next phone "The Next Big Thing". For what you get, it's great. As for the price, at least I didn't have to pay full retail because to me, $700 for a phone, well that was outrageous. So, if you want an upgrade from the M7 with some of the features from the LTE then the M8 is the phone to get. Hope this helps some of you out there. Cheers.Read full review
I tried to activate this phone on the Sprint network and was told this was no longer supported on the network, thus making this phone unable to be activated via Sprint. It's a fantastic phone though: beautiful, lightweight, sturdy design that looks like it'd hold up really well through wear and tear. Just sadly could not have it activated on my network.
