    Basic tool for the job.

While not exactly a precision tool, this gadget will go a long way towards making your blades run smoother. Best to start when blades are new before they get too far out of whack and you have to grind the snot out of them to bring them back. Laying a small line level on top of the blade in the center will help improve accuracy.

Not the best balancer, but will work if you can modify.

A cheaply cast product, the product arrived with the "nail" slightly bent throwing the cone off center. The point on the "nail" did also not have a steep enough taper to allow for the cone to easily move on the nail. I straightened the nail, and increased the angle on my home lathe, It works perfect now, for a reasonable cost, but if you are incapable of making a few mods, don't waste the money. It will possibly be off center, and the cone will hang on the nail giving inaccurate readings.

  • Quality

Always nice when a quality product is available ,even a simple two part measuring device . Sturdy and good craftsmanship and material. 👍🏼

  • Blade Balancer

Excellent for the price or twice the price. It's simple and easy to use. Balanced my lawnmower blade in about 2 minutes once I cleaned it and got it sharp. Get the old grass off the blade first.

  • Neat little tool

I like this blade balancer because it is small enough to fit in my hand, but does the job very accurately. It is simple and easy to use, and the price was just right. It's much better than using a nail on the wall to give me a fairly close balance.

  • Simple mower blade balancer.

An expensive, small, easy to learn and use device. Perhaps not quite as accurate as a far more expensive tool, but more than satisfactory for the average user.

  • Oregon 42-100 Blade Balancer Zinc Die-Cast Cone

It works, but seems to be a little stiff and not too sensitive. If a blade was off balance just a little bit, this one would probably not show it. I have an old one from long ago, and it is real sensitive.

  • Good product but arrived slightly bent - should do a better job inspecting/packaging it.

Good product but they should have done a little better in the inspecting/packaging. The balancing needle was slight bent out of plumb by about 5 degrees. I managed to straighten it without breaking it and got it pretty much plumb now. They should quality check it for being plumb and provide better packaging. But the product itself is well made.

  • Better than most

Had to be reshaped at the base vertical column. Basically sharpening. Works great now. Most likely some liability if it’s pointed. Can’t be the injured persons fault! So much better than plastic.

  • Wont accommodate all blades

I have a yard machine mower, the hole in the blade is odd shaped and it is difficult at best to get it to sit on this balancer well enough to use it. If the blade had a round hole it would work fine im sure.
