A great starter book for somebody first coming into the broad strokes of finances, including rationale for when to save, where and why to save the money, the importance of disability and other insurance, and even finances all the way through retirement. Have Wikipedia handy for additional details as this isn't meant to be an all-inclusive book, but you'll get enough to have a rough idea of what your next step should be. I'm a resident coming to the end of training, so it is very relevant. I'm making immediate changes to my finances as a direct result of this book, and I highly recommend it to all physicians and physicians-in-training. My wife is reading it, too, and it has helped us align our expenses and figure out what our next goals should be in preparing for eventual financial independence.Read full review

A surprise gift for my son. He hasn't received it yet, but I'm sure he will learn a lot from it.
