I was shopping for an older custom and they are all mostly beat to hell and expensive. I decided to try one of these and I’m really glad I did. I was looking for a solid non weight-relieved Les Paul. I was a little nervous about the 50s neck profile but for the tone, I went for it anyway. This profile is nowhere near as fat as I thought it would be. I don’t have small hands but they aren’t huge either and the neck feels comfortable. It is noticeably rounder than the 60s profile but not by a ton, trust me. It just feels a little more substantial to me. The vintage tones are all in there, just mess with the volume and tone controls. My seller switched out the stock burstbucker 1 and 2 pickups with classic 57 and 57 Plus. I have a set of these in a traditional pro ( with Floyd Rose) so I was confident they’d be as good if not better. I wasn’t wrong they sound great. The guitar sounds great, I am very pleased. Vintage tones are there but will rock the f*** out just as easily. The tuners are vintage Klusons and the work well. Word of caution, some of the years have weight relief, so if you are looking for the solid version, check your specs. 2017 and 2018 meet the specs as well as other years but, 2016’s (at least some if not all) have weight relief.Read full review
