Noah Restores the Virgin River Presbyterian Church and Finds His Assistant for Life
One of the best in the Virgin River series. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Rev. Frank Kincaide bought the old church on Ebay. He came down and look it over and decided the community needed the church . Rev. Kincaide and Ellie Baldwin , his able assistant are the stars of this book. Ellie came to the minister hoping to get the assistant job. She needed the job desperately to impress the judge so she could get her children back. ( Her ex-husband had been given custody of them since her last job was working in a strip club. He was mean and rough on the children. He tried to keep Ellie from seeing them. ). The Frank Kincaide gave her the job since the others applicants were too old to help restore the church and did not fit the position. Ellie did not actually fit the position either but she was a hard worker and really needed the work. Frank and Ellie was two peas in a pod that actually fit together. Frank and Ellie both knew they were paying with fire with Ellie's situation and Frank being a minister. They worked closely together and grew to love each other. Frank wanted to help Ellie get her children back. He guided her when her ex Arnie came to Jack's bar and tried to ruin her reputation by saying mean and untrue things about her. Her lawyer, Brie Valenque , Frank and others stepped up to defend her . Jack and Mike, Chief of Police, escorted him out. The story goes on with Ellie getting her kids back and Noah promising to take care of her forever. Highly recommended book.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
