  • Rick Steves Guides Pros & Cons

Pros ... I like the way he personalizes his walks, and that each of the sections has a map. Handy to take along. I like the tips that he gives you. I like that you can go to his website for updates. Cons ... Because of tips and descriptions of "some" sights there is not enough "meat and potatoes" on more sights. I also wish that his books contained a large colored pull out map. I decided to purchase both Fodor's Rome and Rick Steve's Rome. I feel that I now have as much information in my hand as possible prior to my trip. I like Fodor's because they go into much mire detail about more sights, restaurants and hitels. I hope this helps whomever is reading this review.
