Great introduction to biographies for kids
This is an excellent DVD on the childhood and young adult life of Walt Disney. It begins as the family moves to Missouri to live on a farm to escape the big city of Chicago. It chronicles his life as a young boy, and then his struggles & dreams as he grows into a young adult. It also focuses on his close relationship with his older brother Roy. The movie ends with Walt Disney headed to Hollywood to join his brother Roy and their parents. It does not include anything about Disney theme parks or the famous Disney characters. It does touch on his dream of a theme park and his start with animated characters. It would be of interest to older children say starting approx. 4th grade and up. As an adult, I found it very interesting since it had been many years since I read a biography on Disney. So it was nice to learn more about his early years. Travis Tritt does an excellent job as the narrator. Excellent biography DVD for young adults.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great historical movie! Needs a sequel!
As Dreamers Do is a fantastic movie about Walt Disney’s life growing up through his early years at the Laugh-o-gram studios. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because I wish it would have been longer and included creating the Walt Disney Studio and Disneyland. With that said, I understand the time constraints and the hour and a half that the movie is does a great job covering some of the fun and historic moments in Walt’s life.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
