High-void, angled grooves and wide lateral notches evacuate water and slush from the contact patch to resist hydroplaning, and the strategically angled tread blocks and serrated sipes provide additional biting edges for confident traction. The General AltiMAX Arctic 12 tires feature a winter-focused compound molded into a highly directional tread pattern. The arrow-shaped, rigid central rib provides solid on-center feel and steering response, and the optimized tread contour aids in pressure distribution across the footprint for improved wear.

These tires have great traction in the winter. I wore a set all year round this past year and bought another set for this winter. The last year ones are still good with 8/32nds tread still on them. I will put in summer or all seasons tires on in the Spring and put these new ones back on in the Fall. They were a great price for me and they arrived in a very short time. They handle great all winter. They pick up stones that stick in the tread in the summer then run rough. They are noisier in the summer, but not bothersome. They are a great tire and I highly recommend them for winter driving.

Tires were as advertised. Shipping was fast. Getting tires installed tomorrow (Friday) and can do another review after driving on them a few days, as one tire had been patched, need to make sure that it doesn’t leak. Otherwise, tires are like new, and will be a good fit for my jeep.
