Plain Guaifenesin is doctor recommended for congestion. It clears up my mucous-y bronchials, along with a newer medication I take curing the day. Sometimes, older drugs work well, cost less, & have fewer side effects. Guaifenesin works wonderfully to keep me breathing well at night when I am asleep.
