    works fine

Using it to cut a variety of oak trees, taking branches WAY up high. The saw cuts about half way through, then the branch breaks. During the process the saw sometimes gets stuck but so far I've been able to recover it each time. PATIENCE and persistence is a must. And so is a lot of rope... and some creativity. Overall, it's worked well. Since there are no other cheap options, this one is a success and recommended. Per the saw, it's 4 ft long and has teeth on both sides and cuts in both directions so no worries about getting it to start cutting, it just does it. Frankly, it's a nice chain saw and seems similar in quality to most standard chains on off brand chainsaws, just designed a little different.

    Rope saw

Overall the quality is good as long as you get a good quality rope. Do keep in mind it does not come with a rope and the handles are useless. The chain itself has good quality wood cutting blades on both sides which makes a big difference. If you use it about six times.

  • High Limb Chain Saw

Looks good but haven't yet used it. It might be too hard to pull with so many teeth. The end connector is about 3/16-inch which is too small for a 1/4-inch rope, so some type clevis will have to be used.

  • Great replacement

This blade is a perfect replacement for a previous rope saw where one Link/blade had bent and broken. Used the 3/8 in rope from the old saw ... had to work to get it thru the eyelets ....1/4 in rope would have been easier and strong enough ..... the only challenge is getting a smooth rope splice .... eventually used metal rope clamps. Double sided cutters work great. Much cheaper than buying a whole new saw with rope included.

  • Great product trsted sucess

Great priced product that worked well was fun experiment. Bought two cheap 100 ft lenths Harbor freight rope 3.99 ea. Keep angle and synched our pulling each end felling eight inch branch for starters Ready to try again next weekend. Safer than climbing and cheaper than hiring proffesional.

  • Great for Softwood Trees

This product is what it claims to be, and I would recommend it for softwood, but I wasn't able to get it to work on oak trees. It wanted to bind after cutting about an inch into the limb. Goes to show you you can't expect to use a chainsaw chain to manually do what a chainsaw does, not enough power behind it. If the teeth were designed for human power, this would probably work fine.

  • Rope Operated Chainsaw

Worked great in removing several oak limbs today that were 3-4" in diameter and roughly 20 feet. The actual limb cutting took about 5 minutes each. The only problem I had was getting my pull rope tossed up and over the limbs. Someone needs to make sort of a cheap harpoon gun to launch the rope which I will probably be making in the near future. I tied a 10 Crescent Wrench to my rope to help toss it over the limbs.

  • Too small to sharpen chains

This saw sharpener is junk. This so-called sharpener is not usable on any of my Stihl chainsaws. The file on this is so small it is unable to sharpen a chain properly, also. I would strongly recommend using a round file or an electric sharpener instead.

  • The best I can tell looks like a great item!

I haven't got to use it yet I bought it for a gift for someone else but far as I can tell by looking at the ones that I've got to compare it with looks like it is a good item won't know for sure till after Christmas!

  • Great product, worth every penny

Product was as exactly described. Used my own rope and bought this better chain with 3 times the teeth and ended up spending less. Great buy.
