NotesJacob's Well is Steve's first solo project but his musical accomplishments are many. As founding member of Boston based rockers The Stompers since 1977 he continues to make music with his Stomper band mates. Lenny Shea, Dave Friendman, and Sal Baglio all appear on jacob's Well as does former Stomper guitarist John Biafore. Steve is the bass player with the pop/rock band Fox Pass, having recorded two CDs within tha past 8 years. He also released a CD a few years ago with Fox Pass bandmate Jon Macey entitled 'Everything Under the Sun' by Jon Macey & Steve Gilligan. His folk roots run as deep as his rock 'n' roll roots, having been a founding member and contributing song-writer in the New England folk trio City of Roses from 1997 - 2009. Jacob's Well shines with heartfelt lyrics and crisp songwriting. From the Buddy Holly whimsy of 'Much for Nothin' to the off-kilter instrumental 'Niki's Blue Waltz each track has a unique identity that is sure to please a wide range of musical tastes.
