In the vein of H.G. Lewis and Andy Milligan comes Stu Segall's 1976 proto-slasher DRIVE-IN MASSACRE, which plays like a porno-flick, substituting spraying blood for spurting jizz... Heads roll, necks are slashed and one couple are shish-kebabbed whilst smooching in the titular theater. Inept police detectives stumble around and mangle their lines worse than the killer mutilates his victims. Suspects/red herrings include a derelict nicknamed 'Germy' who used to be a sword-swallower (and geek) in a Carny, and a pervy 'peeping Tom' who tells the cops he goes to the Drive-In to "beat his meat"... You can tell this is seriously classy stuff, right? The 'ending' has to be seen and HEARD to be believed. This blu-ray from Severin beats the 88 Films release in nearly every way, though as the old saying goes "one can't polish a turd"... Recommended but view at your own peril!
