Tight fit
These mounts are made of much stronger material than the original ones. I measured the engine height before and after installing them. The original mounts we're probably 30 years old, the engine came up only 1/4". The problem I ran into was with the bolt on flanges which encapsulate the neoprene. They stick out 3/4" beyond the stock mount on both sides. This won't be a problem for most people. But the twin turbo headers I had fabricated point forward and everything was tight. After installing the new mounts, the extra flanges hit one pipe on both sides. My fix was to cut off the flange on the outside and weld the seam slowly back together with wet rags protecting the neoprene. The side towards the oil pan clears fine. I new by looking at the pictures that those flanges could be a problem so I was prepared to deal with it. Overall, this is a well made, heavy duty mount which should hold a lot of horsepower.
