Makes a huge difference
I recently got into wiring electric guitars and learned the basics of soldering for that purpose. You'll quickly notice your solder tips get a bit nasty, and if left too long, the corrosion will destroy the tip and potentially soil your solder connections. This stuff cleans off the corrosion instantly. You can literally see the gunk slough off. It also tins the tip to prep it for good, clean joints. I would have not believed it if I didn't see it with my own eyes! Look at the pictures! Cleaned in 2 seconds!
All I can say is WOW! My soldering tip was so corroded it would not melt solder. Now the cleaner doesn't come with any instructions so I just stuck the HOT tip into the can of cleaner for about 2 seconds and pulled it back out and it was cleaned and had a coat of solder all over the tip. It went from none usable to like new in a couple of seconds! This stuff is like magic. I am so happy with this. I can see I will not be changing soldering tips very often anymore. THANK YOU!!!!!

Excellent product that truly does restore iron tips in seconds. Can't recommend it enough.
Completely shocked by this product. A few rogue hand movements had wire jacket residue on a tip and 'tinning' with solder was a useless endeavor. Almost forgot I ordered this tinner/activator & really didn't have much expectation on what it would do. The first dip in the jar displaced the residue and oxidation build-up on half the tip, leaving what can only be described as a 'like new' surface on the iron. A couple more dives in and it was completely brought back to life. Wiping on a damp sponge helped things along with a final dip to finsh up. 1st time using this Tip Tinner activator Cleaner . Was surprised how well & fast it worked on an old,(maybe 20yrs) Tip. Had run the tip in salt bath w/ solder coil Electrolysis method 1st helped but no chicken dinner until i heated up the Tip in the Iron and Wallah was like magic . I very lightly cleaned my oxidized soldering tips with rosin flux and 000 steal wool and then applied the Delcast Tip Tinner/Activator, they look better than new and the heat transfer is restored.
