It’s cheap, it works, keeps your food and beverages cold
It gets cold enough to freeze bottled water and meat. It survived a weekend of wheeling. The settings you preset doesn’t stay when it loses power and reverts to factory defaults of 32f or 0c which is fine, I find it on the cooler side and will actually freeze some items. It draws 5 amps when the compressor kicks on, I find that the compressor will come on less often the more items you have in it. Has a decent sized start/run capacitor so inrush current is barely noticeable. It’s a bit louder than the dometics and ARBs in my group, especially when the compressor shuts off so if you sleep in the car next to the fridge I can see how that can be a nuisance, but at a quarter of the price of the brand names I’ll live with it. I don’t have a dual battery setup and the fridge didn’t completely drain my battery overnight, just weak crank in the morning but the car started right up. The screws that hold the handles to the side of the fridge were lose, to be expected with an item from a factory with very little quality control. The electronic parts and wiring connectors were nice and snug and the solders looked adequate (yes, I opened it up and checked it before plugging it in) all in all very satisfied with this unit, beats coleman cooler and a bag of ice, unless you really like your ham sandwich soaked in ice water.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great cheap 12/120/240 volt mini-chest fridge/freezer
I believe I made the right decision buying this thing just by reading the reviews. I like how it cools down fast, and freezes whatever you put in it. I received this really fast, just in time when our power went out so had to connect this with my 12 volt agm that is connected to my prius generator. No need to use the inverter, just my 2 Ah agm batts, no issues at all. Only time will tell if this will last. I purchase an insurance/warranty which I think is worth for any trouble. I have a 12/120 volt cooler, and this is an upgrade. No need to buy ice, just think of it. Pretty spacious inside which can fit pretty anything you can use for 1 week of camping. 12 volt portable refrigerator for truck, car or RV
This has been a game changer for us as we camp a lot and was tired of getting ice, dealing with wet soggy items and melted water. I would opt for the 54 Qt size as it doesn't cost much more than the smaller ones. We can now bring nicer foods such as frozen shrimp and fish whereas before we are limited to camping type convenience foods. I would recommend if you could to use a separate deep cycle battery with an inexpensive solar charge controller and 100 watt solar panel to create an unlimited amount of power so you don't drain your vehicle battery especially during outings more than a few days. Of course you don't need this set up if your just driving around town . Its draws about 45 watts and cycles on and off depending on temperature setting. Because it uses Freon it works so much faster than other types of refrigeration. It went from 80 F to 36 F in about 20 minutes or less. We are totally thrilled that we can even have ice cream on a hot California day. We are also thrilled to buy one of those inexpensive diesel heaters for RV's that are all the rage. Amazing 12 volt freezer/refrigerator unit. Fits so much in it.
This is a 12 volt freezer/refrigerator I bought for my van, as my old dometic died. The quality is superb. During this pandemic, I bought this unit as an extra freezer to store produce in. It was up to freezing temperatures within 1 hour and it is super quiet and fits so much in. I was able to empty my freezer into in with plenty of space to spare.
