I have used a Garmin GPS for 5-6 years, this new one is good, however the learning curve is quite large. I am sure that I will get to feel comfortable with it, but not very soon! The on-line manual does leave a lot to be desired.

Garmin handheld GPS are almost impossible to use. I use this unit in the field on searches in the Arizona desert. My group has a common list of waypoints and points of interest we share. I spent 3 days trying to load points of interest onto the Garmin and it's still not correct. The software and explanations are next to worthless. The screen is tiny and the button controls awful and the menus counter-intuitive. The only reason to buy this is the camera which allows you to photograph points of interest - avoiding the 20 minute process to input them by hand, and that we all have one in our group, legacy technology.
