Easy to use and nice looking
Nice looking and easy to use A/V receiver. Rear is very cleanly configured and labeled with simple pinch contacts to accept speaker wire with stripped ends. Not A Reliable Piece of Equipment
I was quite pleased with the sound and the functionality of this unit for the first 9 months that I owned it. Then one day it started losing a channel but I found that if I turned it up a notch or two that the channel came back on. That lasted for about a month of everyday usage. Then the channel stopped working completely. At that point, any music that did not have the same thing playing out of both channels was missing half of the music. That was it. Great budget 5.2 surround receiver. Entry level but powerful for the price. For me it was all about the connectivity. I needed digital optical inputs for two separate devices. Low cost-High Fidelity
This replaced an older Denon receiver because the older model didn’t work well with my 4K TV and new Fiber Cable. Set up was easy. Sound is very good from all inputs. From radio stations, to DVD player to TV, and Bluetooth. I like the Bluetooth so I can play music from my phone. Easy setup, but does require using an HDMI cable (not included) from the receiver to your television for best setup results. Once you have that, you use the TV and the included microphone, which plugs into the front of the unit, to measure the acoustics in your room and set up your speakers. The sound is excellent for my room. The only thing I wish it had is a switched outlet for my sub woofer. That's minor. I haven't tried the Bluetooth yet. The order was filled very quickly, arrived in perfect condition. This replaces a higher end Yamaha receiver that developed issues and I am very pleased with it. Good value and quality for the money
i replaced an Onkyo that had issues maintaining the HDMI connections causing picture loss. The Denon has only exhibited this issue once, so am hopeful it has better circuitry. Have not been able to get the sound quality/options to the level of the Onkyo but am working on it and overall am satisfied.
