A necessity for large gold fish ponds.
We have had a 4000 gallon gold fish pond with all the equipment for about 20 years. Probably because of plants, pots, etc. in the pond, there is always a bit of string algae. This string algae can grow and dominate the plants, make the pond unsightly and quickly create a mess to clean out. To keep it beat down, we add an occasional pint of Algaefix. The fish don't like it and go quiet for a day, but it has never harmed any fish of any size or the plants. Pond maintenance must!

It works
I had a bad string algae problem in my 750 gallon pond and used Algaefix every 3 days for a month per the directions and it killed ALL of the algae. I have used it off and on for more than 10 years and once accidentally used twice as much as I was suppose to (long story) and it killed some of my koi so make sure to follow the directions and don't get impatient for it to work.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
