    More powerful than expected

I have used this a lot the last week and it has enough power to cut through a 24" diameter tree. It did take much more effort than a gas powered saw but isn't noisey and no need to bother with gas/oil. My only complaint on this saw which is a nuisance is the blade keeps losing tension. It get loose after not much use and the automatic tension sure doesn't work. If I paid full retail store price then this would really bother me. But I only paid $29.99 for the refurbished model so it's a great deal and saves me time and energy. Much easier than using a bow saw which I used a lot after cleaning up after Hurricane Irma!

    EXTREMELY Disappointed!!

I bought it to replace a Wen brand that lasted me almost 20 years. Both are 14" electric so I expected comparable quality from the Worx. I haven't been so disappointed in a product since I bought a "BB Machine Gun" out of the back of a comic book at the age of seven. This thing barely qualifies as a toy. Things that my old Wen would have zipped right through, this thing barely scratches. And yes, before you ask, the chain is on in the right direction. Speaking of chains, and to be fair, there's a possibility that the problem is not with the saw itself, but with the cheap generic chain that comes with it. Whatever the reason, it doesn't cut well at all. Waste of money! This in no way reflects badly on the seller, I gave them 5 stars. Not their fault !!

  • Can buy a better one at three times the price.

I got this model refurbished and it had some scuffs and some minor wear marks. Nothing that would be detrimental to its intended purpose. I have to say I am very happy with this purchase. Had I paid full price for a new one I wouldn't have been upset at the price, it was worth it. I didn't expect to get so much out of it. I knocked over most of a tree, about 40 foot tall and just as wide, and shredded most of it with this thing. just left the base, too wide for anything I could afford. Could a bigger more expensive chainsaw have done better, probably. I just wanted it for a one time project an so the price of it was reasonable. I have other brand saws I paid more for and this thing outlasted them. The other brands took longer to adjust the chain and they kept slipping off. Tool free adjustment and is almost maintenance free, other than making sure it has oil and cleaning it. Some points, its not a professional logger machine, its slower in comparison. You have to pay more to get something thatll cut through a 14in branch in under 3 seconds, a lot more. This one was the 14in and I found myself wanting something longer some times due to the thickness of the tree about three fee wide at the base. Only a few branches were wider than 14in and I had to kind go in circles to cut those. Saved me a ton of money had I payed to have someone do it. Maybe I had low expectation, but this thing surpassed those and more.

  • good chain saw

This 14" Worx electric chain saw is great. It cuts through wood like butter. I cut up half of my pine tree in one day. It's light weight and there is Low kick back. It's easy to clean and install the chain. The bar gets oiled automatic, and its not messy. I had the 8" chain saw with the pole. That works well on tree limbs and vines. They both have lot of power in this small chain saw. I will buy another Worx chain saw if I burn up the motor, LoL. I may buy the Worx circular saw too. Thank you. Colleen and Douglas.

  • Not a bad saw.

For the price there is a lot of value in this saw. Lightweight, and more powerful than I expected at only 8 amps. Construction is what you'd expect from today's high turnout, profit hungry, cost & quality cutting manufacturing. It's primarily plastic and meant to be replaced every few years. If you're on a strict budget or just need it for light yard work you won't altogether regret buying it. But if you have the extra money and plan to use it frequently it would not be my first recommendation to you.

  • Great little saw.... but directions lacking.

Got this just recently and have already used it to remove a very nasty Yew bush that was impossible to remove with an axe (just bounced off!), and a smaller bush. Was slick. Only negative is that directions are graphic and not all that good. Assembly of the cutting bar and chain was not difficult if you are already a little familiar with a chain saw. Otherwise, could be somewhat of a challenge. Bottom line - great price and super handy!!

  • WG305 WORX 14” Chainsaw Lightweight with great features

WG305 WORX Lightweight Chainsaw works great. I got it to trim trees in the backyard and it did the job and is still working. It has an oil gauge which drips oil on the chain to kttp it from getting to hot & wearing out. Do have to check the tightness of the saw blade and chain. If it is too loose the screw has to be loosened and pull the blade out until the chain is tightened and tighten the screw on the side of the blade. This needs to be checked each time before use.when this one wears out will get another. It does the job.

  • Tough little electric saw

The Worx 14" Electric Saw is a little tough brute. Cuts through everything I put it through. Only problem I have is the chain does pop off a lot even with tension on the bar. Could be a design flaw, not sure. Just remember to unplug the saw before handling the chain. I'm keeping mine!!

  • Chain saw use

Powerful. I used it on some very hard dead Maple But when it chartered the chain got loose But that wasn't much of a problem because there is only one screw that part of the retention mechanism and it has a very large thumb screw for tightening. No tools required ever
