We order these in bulk!
These things are a major weakness of GM. As a used car dealer the majority of consoles we get have these broken, so we order them in bulk. These are still plastic and will eventually probably break again, but thankfully they aren't hard to switch out. 4 torx screws and 2 Phillips screws and it's replaced. Takes maybe 5 minutes to replace. Given how affordable these are I recommend getting a couple of them to have on hand.
