Tamiya Vintage Car Museum
If like me you were obsessed with every toy made in Japan during the 80s & 90s and those toys included RC, then this book is for you! Note: The book is 100% in Japanese!! So why is it so good? It shows the release and progression of the models; all box art and examples of built (and used) cars; discusses tech specs and design inspiration and basically is a great reference source if you are a collector. Classic boyhood memories of 80’s Tamiya
I had endeavoured to find out if this volume contained pictures of the classic 80’s 3 speeds -hilux and blazing blazer I’m pleased to say it does with a double spread for the Toyota hilux and a single page for the blazer. Other greats include several pictures of the super champ, Scorcher, sand rover and ranger all in box art liveries, and some not so familiar colours. Text is Japanese, but does it matter? NO.
