Good quality, that is, good enough for educational use. The tuning mechanism is too "stiff". The dial is difficult to read. With an external frequency counter it is improved. It seems stable enough. It is great for an "amateur" lab. It costs a fraction of what a true laboratory grade instrument would cost. So it is a good value.

It's ok for what it is. Never had a signal generator before so I have nothing to compare it to. If you need to get precise frequencies out of it then it's a little tough to get it right on. You need some kind of frequency counter to see what frequency you're at. I use my oscilloscope. Not sure why they didn't just put knobs on the front panel instead of using set screws. But it only cost $60 so not a bad deal for the frequency range. Also, being able to modulate the frequency does come in handy...
