Well worth the price and quality.
This is my 3rd year getting back into to trout fishing and learned not to use just "any ole reel" or rod as I did over 50 years ago when I was a mid-teenager. Ultra-light everything is the ultra-most way to go. The lighter the better, but the high quality reels/rods are way above my budget right now. So, I thought I'd give this reel a shot being the price is right and other reviews were enticing. I got the new reel in very short order and tried it out the next day. I don't know how it compares to $150 and up reels, but it sure does the trick for me. Smooth reeling and great action with my 6' 6" ultra light rod. I would definitely buy another one like it.

I bought it for ice fishing. It's not a small as a "reg" ice fishing reel but not to big to make it a deal breaker. It's well constructed and I hope it last a long it.
