Good product for a reasonable price
While this is a little thinner than other sound deadening materials I have used, it is easier to bend and fit to contours of the floor pan in my 72 Chevy truck, so I guess that's a trade off. Seems to adhere well and I like the indicators on the back that tell you when it is fully stuck to whatever surface you are applying it to. My use was different than most. I use it to seal my truck bed. I did the same thing to my last F-350 but with a different product. This mat went on easy, formed well, and the quality is excellent. Trim, peel and stick, all easy
This stuff is easily trimmed to fit with tin snips. It has paper backing that allows for exact placement before peeling. It sticks very well to most surfaces if it is clean and smooth. Easy to install and very effective!
Never used a sound deadening product before, and I found installation to be much easier than I anticipated. The sheets are easy to trim with a standard pair of scissors. I would peel back about two inches of the paper back and position and adhere the sheet to start, then gradually peel and press the remainder of the sheet. It made a big difference in quietness. Sticks and molds nicely. Turned my floorpan from a hollow tin can to a nice hearty thud. My floorpan is complex so I'm glad I went with the 50mil. Loud V8 suv, and this stuff sure has deadened the sound. 50 sq ft did 90% of the floorpan in a first gen Durango. Will buy more, this stuff is great.
